How To Start A Day Spa
So you are thinking of starting a day spa- it’s going to be a wonderful journey with trials and tribulations along the way, but there’s much more to staring your business than just putting the sign up and opening the door. B is for Budget, which is very important when you go to start a day spa. If you don’t know what things are going to cost, then it’s time you began to do some price checking. You’ll especially want to know what your start up costs are going to be.
C is for your Current Situation which means you are going to find out what’s currently going on in the spa industry you are about to enter. You want to know which products are hot, which areas are seeing the most growth, and any other statistics you can learn.
D is for Do, which means you need to do some networking. Attend meetings at the chamber of commerce, town hall, or anywhere else where groups of potential clients might be.
E is for Executive Summary, which means it is important that everyone involved in the business to knows what their job is going to be. With a spa there are many specialized professions under one roof and there may even be some over lapping so each person needs to be clear about their responsibilities.
F is for Files which means you need to keep very good records on your clients so that each time they visit you know everything you should about them and they feel very special. For example, Mrs. Jones would you like to have the same red polish as last time?
G is for Goals, which means you have an idea of what you want in a month, a year, and five years for your business. When you start a day spa you must be motivated enough to think past tomorrow.
