The Mobile Day Spa Gains Popularity

The Mobile Day Spa Gains Popularity

The mobile day spa is becoming increasingly popular. The wonderful thing about the world of spas is that there are all kinds of different spas. From the day spa you drop into to the luxurious resort spa and everything in between. The mobile day spa is one of those choices.

For those of you not familiar with the mobile spa it offers the services of the traditional day spa but brings them to the client rather than the client coming to the spa. Most offer the same type of luxurious treatments including manicures, pedicures, massage, skin care, and all the pampering your client would expect to feel rejuvenated and refreshed.

How does the mobile day spa compare to the more traditional day spa? The biggest difference is in the number of services. For example a traditional day spa might offer several different massages, there may be a steam room, or perhaps sauna treatments. Mobile equates to limited treatments. That said your start up costs can be significantly less and clientele base significantly larger.

If you are going to operate a mobile day spa you can’t be relying on your client to provide anything, which means you must bring it all with you, that is with the exception of sinks, tubs, and water. You’ll need to consider what type of vehicle will work best. Of course, that depends on what services you’ll be offering.

With a mobile day spa you will need professional staff just as you would for traditional day spa. That means you’ll need a central booking area and more than one vehicle on the road. Or will be a one professional one vehicle business? You certainly have plenty of options but you will need to decide in advance how you are going to setup your mobile day spa.

Most mobile spas offer a variety of massage therapies including but not limited to aromatherapy massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and sports massage. They also offer a wide range of beauty treatments like facials, eyebrow shaping, eyelash and eyebrow tinting, waxing, manicures, pedicures and makeup.

You will generally need your clients to book at least 48 hours in advance. When you arrive your client will designate the room to be used and you will transform it using scents, candles, and music.

The mobile day spa has become popular for those with disabilities that make it difficult to get out, the busy guy or gal, and even those more adventurous who decide to throw a spa party with friends.

As the mobile day spa gains popularity the business opportunities also increase and the initial startup is significant less than a traditional spa. Something you think you’d enjoy doing. You should explore your options further.
